Bahraich: Insisting that Shravasti has the potential to become a hub for international languages, vice chancellor of Maa Pateshwari State University, Balrampur, Prof Ravi Shankar Singh on Sunday announced to incorporate courses related to religion, culture, and language into the curriculum.
Speaking to the media, Singh shared that as part of this innovative step, regional languages like Tamil, Odia, and Kannada will also be taught. Additionally, cultural and linguistic ties will be strengthened with the neighbouring country Nepal through the traditional “roti-beti” relationship (symbolizing deep familial and cultural connections).
When questioned about research activities, the vice chancellor informed that entrance exams for research programmes are being conducted by the university as part of its progressive efforts.
He also highlighted the implementation of dual-degree programmes, allowing students to pursue one course on-campus and another online for example, B.A. with LL.B. or B.Sc. with LL.B.
Addressing concerns over illegal appointments and other grievances, he said the university has established a grievance cell. Any complaints received will be investigated thoroughly and resolved accordingly.
On the issue of youth migrating from Devipatan for education, Singh urged the local youth to enrol in Maa Pateshwari University, assuring them of quality education and holistic development to shape them into responsible citizens.
